What personal data we collect and why we collect it.

Comments

We collect any comments and data made by visitors when in the Intellaegis website, including IP address and Browser User Agent String in order to assist with SPAM detection.

An anonymized string created from an email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

We recommend visitors to the website avoid Uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included.  This will protect the associated location data from being extracted and downloaded by others.

Contact forms

Using the “Request a Demo” page will save any personal data provided in our website’s database for the purpose of responding to the website visitor. 

When a message is left on our “Help” link, a ticket in our Zendesk support system is automatically created.  It includes any personal data provided to us on this form, such as name and email address, and will be stored in Zendesk to assist us in responding.

Cookies

If a visitor leaves a comment on our website, they may opt-in to save their name, email address and website in cookies. This is available for convenience, so the visitor does not have to fill in the same details again when leaving another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

The login page we will set a temporary cookie to determine if the browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded once the browser is closed.

When logging in, several cookies are setup to save login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If “Remember Me” is selected, login will persist for two weeks. The login cookies will be removed upon logout.

If an article is posted or published on the website, an additional cookie will be saved in the browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behave in the exact same way as the other website visited.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

    Verification Standards:
    Request to Know- Categories of Information: If you are requesting categories of information, we will verify your identity to a reasonable degree of certainty, meaning we will require at least two data points provided by you to match at least two data points we have on file for you.

    Request to Know- Specific Pieces of Information: If you are requesting specific pieces of information, we will verify your identity to a reasonably high degree of certainty, meaning we will require at least three data points provided by you to match at least three data points we have on file for you. We will also require a signed declaration under penalty of perjury that you are the person whose personal information is the subject of this request.

    Request to Delete: We will determine the standard of verification (reasonable degree of certainty or reasonably high degree of certainty) depending upon the sensitivity of information we have on file and the risk of harm to the consumer posed by unauthorized

    Authorized Agents: If a party other than the consumer whose personal information is the subject of this request is making this request, we will require written authorization by the consumer demonstrating that the person making this request is authorized to act as an agent on behalf of the consumer. We will require the consumer to verify their identity directly with us to the degrees of certainty noted, above.
